It was lovely to meet Phil and Tayla from Eumundi Palms Nursery during a pickup for a project in Brisbane.
I was fascinated to learn more about the world of palms and how they are grown. I was surprised to discover that some palm species can thrive in pure lava rock while other palm species can be grown in straight coco coir.
I appreciated learning that Eumundi Palms Nursery uses organic methods to prevent pests and diseases, avoiding chemical sprays.
A big thank you to Phil and the team for sharing their passion and knowledge of palm trees with me. Their expertise and enthusiasm was greatly appreciated.
I would also like to thank Ben French from Yards Pty. Ltd. for bringing me along to pick up a beautiful Chamaerops humilis for a project.
I am looking forward to sharpening my identification skills and cultural knowledge when it comes to palms.
