This week, Ben French from Yards Pty. Ltd. and I were welcomed to visit Linda Brennan’s edible garden.
Linda, the owner of Ecobotanica, offers various gardening tips, recipes, videos, workshops, and classes. Her garden contains about 72 species of fruit trees, from which she makes jelly, desserts, and other delicious recipes.
I was excited to learn about her cinnamon tree, which provides bark for cinnamon sticks once it matures. You can also harvest the leaves and twigs for tea.
Amongst these unique edible plants, Linda has created a seven-circuit labyrinth. This type of labyrinth dates back more than 4,000 years and is used symbolically as walking meditation.
Linda’s passion for gardening and locally grown food is truly inspiring. It was an absolute pleasure to learn more about edible plants and flowers and how they can be used in the kitchen.
I would like to extend a huge thanks to Linda and Ben for the opportunity to learn more about gardening with edible plants.
