I had the pleasure of visiting the Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria – Melbourne, where I was impressed by the diverse range of gardens on display. Some of the plants were familiar from home in Canada, while others were completely new.
One highlight was The Ian Potter Foundation Children’s Garden, an incredible space designed for children to explore nature. This is an interactive environment where kids can dig in the soil, run through water features, and crawl under tunnels. The garden also includes a kitchen garden that encourages children to learn about food growth. It’s a perfect blend of education and play, creating a deep connection with nature at an early age.
Visiting these gardens was a refreshing experience and a reminder of how nature can inspire learning and creativity.
