Over the past two months with Semken Landscaping, I’ve worked on a wide range of residential and commercial landscapes around Melbourne.
During this time, I’ve noticed some interesting similarities in plant choices between Melbourne and back home in Ontario, as both regions share a temperate climate. Melbourne’s milder winters and drier summers, however, allow for a wider range of plant varieties than Ontario’s colder climate. Experiencing these differences has added to the excitement of working in Melbourne’s unique gardens, especially after my time in Brisbane’s subtropical environment.
I’ve really enjoyed the variety of garden styles we work on, from construction to maintenance. The team at Semken Landscaping is incredibly knowledgeable, and their willingness to share their expertise has been incredibly valuable.
I’m looking forward to continuing my work with Semken Landscaping and seeing how these gardens evolve through spring and into summer.
